Our Team

ECVS-certified Kateřina is joining the Het Bokt team!

Kateřina Baranková has been recognized as a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS)since 2023 ,a title that underscores her expertise and dedication to veterinary surgery. Her career has taken her to renowned equine clinics in Belgium, Sweden, and the Czech Republic, among other places, where she further refined her surgical skills and played a key role in multidisciplinary teams.

She has a particular interest in minimally invasive techniques, orthopedic procedures, and abdominal surgeries in horses. In her most recent position in Sweden, she was not only responsible for complex surgeries but was also actively involved in mentoring younger colleagues and students. Previously, she worked for several years in Belgium, including at De Bosdreef, where she completed her surgical training and subsequently continued to work as a staff surgeon.

Kateřina combines scientific curiosity with practical experience: she has published several articles in international journals and presented at various conferences. Her education and experience have been further enriched by various international internships at leading institutions, including Texas A&M and the University of Bern. In addition to her professional work, she is an avid traveler, snowboarder, and foodie. She speaks English fluently; her native language is Czech; and she has a basic knowledge of Dutch.
